I don't think I can talk any more than I do about how I make almost no money from any of my creative projects, yet I still have people who know me IRL assume I'm living off writing.
I know we know this, but authors need to get better at talking about how they actually make their money. Stop pretending it's from the books.

Check us out performing the theme from "New York, New York" LIVE!

Conducted by Mike Paul-Smith, this big band with strings is touring the UK with joyful festive spectacular "Swing Into Christmas". Alongside festive faves, you'll hear non-festive classics like this one!

Sometimes I recall the enthusiastic buff book-lover on Twitter who'd post things like "I find thrillers really exciting! Do you find them exciting too?" while pictured holding a Dan Brown in his oak-sized arms and a stream of blue-tick authors would giggle, "I do find thrillers exciting, yes!"

The phone spies heard me say I regret not continuing my Grade 8 piano and now every single ad is for digital pianos.

The Internet has become my mother.

Applied for a creative opportunity where the organisers used a randomiser to pick a longlist from the applicants.

So now I not only waste my time only to have my work rejected on its own merit, but also by Fate in some digital roulette wheel.

Here, we can see a man who very clearly remembers racially abusing fellow pupils.
Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

It was years ago.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not in a hurtful way.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not with intent.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not genuine abuse.

Off to Folkestone for another show with the swing orchestra. Last time I was there was for the Eurotunnel, so will do my best not to accidentally get on it now.

I have had it with the justifications. The weaponization of poverty, neurodiversity, mental illness, all of it.

if you follow me and are using my RTs of authors' books to pirate books (many who are financially struggling, I might add), then frankly fuck off.

I didn't know people did this and now I want to pay someone to flood all the pirate sites with 'adjusted' versions of all my romance novels.
I truly hope if you're downloading books that you download one of the ones that are uploaded with the fake endings, the random "and then he shit in her mouth and turned her into a zombie" that i know someone is adding that to her romance books & has her sister upload dozens of versions of that.
