My new book Saltburn now has its own site.

With links to buy, reviews, soundtrack and interviews.

After my calamitous bike accident had my first physio today. At a training centre with a lovely young man. I’ll see you out, he said at the end. Turn right and you end up in the morgue.

We have some amazing authors leaving us at the end of the year. This is the last chance to grab some of these incredible titles and support them for the foreseeable future.

All books in our store are 25% with the code NORTHODOXMAS until the new year

some sad news for a Monday 💔 indie publishing is tough and no one wanted this news.

on a practical note, if you've been thinking about getting a copy of Cacoethes please order sooner rather than later as when she's gone, she's gone: www.northodox.co.uk/product-page...

Currently, there are 75 copies of A Short History of the Future with the distributors, (@gardnersbooks.bsky.social) and an unknown number at @northodoxpress.bsky.social. When they're sold, that's it - no new print runs!
If you ever wanted a print copy - get one before they're all gone!

We know there have been rumours circulating and we've been investigating all avenues to continue in extremely difficult circumstances, both industry-wise and within the team.

The support from our readers and writers means the world to us.

I was very excited to recommend “A Good Year” by the wonderful @polisloizou.bsky.social for the Christmas meeting of my local LGBTQ+ book club. I was so excited in fact I’ve finished it almost a month early. Highly recommended, especially if you love folklore and superstition.

Best film I’ve seen this year. Sorry, Baby. Sexual abuse, female friendship, sex, life. Full of perfect funny and sad moments. I’m reminded of the lobster scene in Annie Hall, completely natural and spontaneous but obviously not.

Yesterday I was up at 7. Wrote/read for 3 hours. Cycled to optician. Cycled to W’s. Walked dogs. Cycled to dentist. Realised I’d got a puncture. Cycled to bike shop. Cycled home. Made pasta. Drank wine. Eat all the chocolate biscuits. Watched Scotland qualify for World Cup!
