Hi new followers!
I am a culture writer and memoirist based in Mi'kma'ki. I write about music, film, tv, technology, games, mental illness, and the occult. I have two essay collections that contain my entire essence: BE SCARED OF EVERYTHING, and HOW TO RESTORE A TIMELINE.
I hope we can be friends.
Two books laying on an old Parker Brothers Ouija board:
BE SCARED OF EVERYTHING: HORROR ESSAYS – a blue book covered in scared geometry and horror symbols

HOW TO RESTORE A TIMELINE: ON VIOLENCE AND MEMORY – the cover of which shows a beach, the ocean, a wooden pier, and a collage of trees from high above

HOW TO RESTORE A TIMELINE is two years old. My monster mash of memoir and criticism exploring the experience of PTSD is my less popular book, but I love it and I'm proud of it. Thank you to everyone who has supported this one with your blurbs, reviews, and recommendations—you're all diamonds.
The book HOW TO RESTORE A TIMELINE: ON VIOLENCE AND MEMORY laying on white painted wooden slats, next to three spent bullet casings.

Not yet. This is the first I'm hearing of it.

It's great! Andy is a great character in a great show!

Hard to remember that the loathsome Chris Pratt was introduced to us as the lovable Kramer of Parks and Rec.

This is extremely true.

I have a theory and it's that there was a Family Guy gag about Tron in like 2002 that tricked a whole generation of people into thinking they were nostalgic for Tron when actually they were just the target demographic for the Animation Domination programming block on Fox.

Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again

One of the great studio tasks tonight.

Please everyone buy my latest book which is all about this problem and how we can fix it. It has, of course, been ignored by the mainstream press.

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

My cameo on Dark Web this week was found out by my friends across the ocean haha. Fun to send something in earnest (while in the middle of moving), kinda forget about it, and then get jumpscared by your own work?? Rob was really cool and nice about it which made me happy 🥹
