I just realized I met a young Zohran Mamdani when his family came to see my play in NYC nearly 16 years ago. First time I met his mom Mira Nair and his dad Professor Mamdani as well.

Great song. I've got that compilation. Fucking love Sam Cooke, what a voice - I know he was a gospel dude like a lot of early soul singers but my god Sam had some of the purest pop tunes ever. Peter Guralnick did an amazing book on him years back.
