Choice A: imperfect Dems who try to pass less than perfect legislation for the good of Americans

Choice B: incompetent racist/sexist GOP who weaponize cruelty & chaos to the detriment of Americans, spreading suffering while lowering taxes for the rich

Hyperfocusing on A depresses votes. Oppose B.

ACLU reporting that “several of the 6 women detained at South Louisiana ICE Center in Basile, LA, & Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, GA were pregnant & have miscarried while in custody.”

0 outrage from MAGAs about these fetuses. They were never about life. They are only about control of women.

If the NIH and HHS were under any other prior President (Dem or GOP), we’d see a rapid shift of funding to leverage this. But the politicization (and gutting) of these agencies means it won’t happen—and so many people will die unnecessarily as a result.
Finally read the paper and it's worth the buzz.

When you see the steady drumbeat of arrests of Russian recruits for sabotage etc across the UK and Europe, and no equivalent announcements in the US, you can be sure we are missing cases, and mislabeling other arrests.

Food aid has never been cut off during a shut down.

Secretary Rollins is refusing to use USDA emergency funds for SNAP.

She was also the one who said no amnesty for farm workers because all the “able bodied” Medicaid recipients can do their jobs.

They want us sick, hungry, scared & poor.
Exclusive: USDA says it won't use emergency funds for food stamps
States also won't be reimbursed if they cover SNAP expenses on their own, the memo says.

Earlier this year, while Schumer was getting shut down by protesters, I realized I didn't really know him -- just had slightly negative generalized impressions. I decided to go to one of his book tours for 'Antisemitism in America: a Warning' (cancelled sadly) & read the book. I highly recommend it.

Rev. Jorge Bautista, an Oakland pastor and member of an interfaith group, was shot point-blank in the face with a crowd control pepper round by an ICE agent from mere inches away. Rev. Bautista was taken to an emergency room by fellow protesters.

I don't think this has registered enough. Duterte is behind bars and will likely be held accountable for his state-sanctioned campaign of extrajudicial murders under the guise of a war on drugs.

How he got there has to do with rivalries among the Philippines' political dynasties. But he got there.

SNAP funding is set to run out in—putting 42M children and families at risk of hunger.

While Trump made the largest cut to SNAP in history with his Big Ugly Bill.

That’s why I joined @repjahanahayes.bsky.social and Democrats to demand USDA use its reserve funds.

This is their playbook for the midterms. Intimidation and harassment - if we are lucky it will only be that. Because their full playbook is most likely much worse but this is the warmup act.

Reminder that while Todd Blanche is threatening to arrest Democrats, he's also one of the officials who decides whether to hand $230 million in taxpayer money to Trump, which he very well may do. That should secure him that pardon if he needs it.
