Why did Indiana University attack and cut its own student newspaper?

Well, in a twist of irony any English professor would call clichéd, it turns out IU did it because they were angry about the students' reporting on a FIRE report naming IU as the worst public university for free speech in the US.
I used to work in an office with someone who had a standing desk and the noise it made reminded me of the sound Ed-209 made. Everything he changed height I got scared

Just to be absolutely clear, this is the Labour government, categorically, and unambiguously, stating that human rights are predicted upon where you are born. That's the outcome of this.
Bridget Phillipson, "Labour believes there needs to be reform to the ECHR"

Trevor Philips, "You want to see changes in the ECHR?"

Bridget Phillipson, "Home Secretary Yvette Cooper is looking at Article 8 Provisions to see if they need updating"

*Article 8: Right for private and family life*
Imagine being the VC of Sussex every time this comes up.
Makes me wish I was nearer and could come

Griffin’s definition of fascism as palingenetic ultranationalism—specifically a reactionary nostalgia for a lost history of the nation that never existed—remains undefeated. A nostalgia for a type of bread that is ubiquitous, created in the 20th century, and rage towards bread as old as civilisation

When someone started tampering with Tylenol bottles in 1982 the company recalled $100 million worth of bottles immediately even though they clearly weren't at fault
an appropriate response to your product killing a child after months of psychological manipulation and torture is to take the product off the market before it kills again and the fact that this isn’t universally accepted right now is incredibly frightening

kitchen table issue: stop kidnapping my neighbors!
we see very clearly in public polling that people in california and D.C. hate the deployments and that americans broadly disapprove of them, but here we have an assertion that the smart strategy is to avoid any discussion of the situation in favor of a pivot to, you guessed it, kitchen table issues.
If you’re mad about Dems avoiding talking about DC, you can blame the Democratic quants, as demonstrated in this memo from David Shor’s Blue Rose Research

I suspect they do. That’s the grift.
Genuinely at a point now I believe the use of this language is a grift. Quick way to get fame, quick way to promote yourself

Casual dehumanising fascist language from a Labour MP. Ratio time.
