Here’s to addiction! #UFO50

As of today, Adler has logged over 100 hours on UFO 50 for Nintendo Switch. Specifically, 102 hours, 13 minutes, and 26 seconds, over which they earned sixteen gold disks and eight cherry. Not shown, Adler has only played every game in chronological order up to Valbrace. So… that should say how addicting this collection is.

Adler’s gold disk run of Overbold on UFO 50 for Nintendo Switch, took 18 minutes, 11 seconds, and 574 milliseconds. Games of Overbold usually last for less than that, so Adler assumes Overbold starts counting time from the title screen and counts game overs.

Adler actually spent five hours, twelve minutes, and thirty-eight seconds across six sessions to get Overbold’s gold disk.

Earlier, I also golded Overbold! It’s got quite the difficulty curve on it. It’s more fun when Alpha has her weapon and health upgrades… which will usually be late in the game. Not a favorite. But I sank over five hours into it, so obviously it did something right. #UFO50

This week, I obtained my fifteenth gold disk on #UFO50, for Pingolf! It’s… pretty fun when you figure out the physics. Maybe it’ll be an easy cherry?

Special mention to Austria for putting out a song so awful that I burst into laughter from how hilariously awful it is. Eurovision's known for its novelty songs, but I never took it for putting out something so bad it's hilarious.

Worst of Eurovision 1988: "Sókrates" (Iceland). Having John Wayne and Christopher Columbus as people you admire, is not something to admit to.

The handle screwed off to reveal the compartment for the candy. The ‘hammer’ got so heavy during trick-or-treating, that Dolly’s friend Stella had to help her carry it.

Between making the Amy costume, she also made dark Chao outfits for her two-year-old sisters, Roz and Maddie, knowing the dark Chao to be both of their favorites.

Dolly also designed her candy basket to resemble the Piko Piko hammer.

Along with the system, he bought both of the Sonic Adventure games. Seven-year-old Dolly quickly took to Amy Rose as her favorite character, and decided to take up seamstressing just so she could make any Amy costume for All Hallows’.

Dennis the Menace hasn’t been relevant in decades, not even among comic strip fans. Fred Flintstone is still a cereal and vitamin mascot, but hasn’t done much in terms of actual cartoons. Woody Woodpecker is as big in Brazil as Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny are in America.

AI does not generate art. It generates images. Soulless, lifeless images, the visual equivalent of plastic. Somehow simultaneously overly detailed and colorful, and not detailed nor colorful enough, lacking human touch and polluting the world with its existence.

I agree. It also sucks that gen AI is everywhere now, which means it's easy to run into accidentally, which in turn means that it's easy to accidentally use or reference for one's work, especially if they don't know what to look or listen for.

One thing that sucks about the proliferation of GenAI Garbage is it's often unlabeled. It's quite possible for creators to accidentally source an asset & not realize it was Gen AI. And that's horrifying.

There is a reason I make all my art assets.

It takes up SO MUCH energy, but I sleep soundly.

If you distribute AI-generated content, whether that be imagery or audio, you suck. You steal work from other people, and you deceive otherwise well-meaning people who don't know what to look for. I can't wait for the day AI content is sponged from the internet.
