Time change: As every year the cats howl one hour to remind me to move my butt out of bed because... hunger.

"Why can't a cat get properly fed at regular times in this burg?
Do we really have to screech for one hour to get the staff moving?" 👹

I hate time change even more than the cats do!!! 🌱😻🤣

We have Monarch caterpillars!

The first time again after two years of not a single one, although we do live along the "Monarch Route" and the garden is chock full with milkweed and butterfly mist as an invitation. 😍🌱

Monarch caterpillar (black/yellow/white striped, probably fourth-instar) munching its way along a milkweed bush. It is the biggest one of all the caterpillars we can see.

A Monarch Chrysalis in a milkweed bush. One can see the golden dots around the bottom and the dark rim near the top.

How long will it take for a new Monarch to dance in the garden? Maybe two weeks, maybe a little less.

Ach ja...Ich bin gerade dabei, ganz viele dieser "erst neulich angeschafft" Sachen in den Umlauf zu bringen.

Gratis, klar, aber selbst dann ist es nicht leicht, manches loszuwerden. Und nein, das ist kein abgerammelter Schrott.

Aber einfach in die Tonne fällt auch schwer.
