I am no longer employed so I'm not blogging Zohran tonight but I can just repeat exactly what I said in June :-)

he won on the back of a pro-migrant, pro-trans, pro-working class campaign. and also: Dem pundits are full of shit
The Democratic Party Needs to Learn from Zohran Mamdani's Guts and Backbone
Zohran Mamdani did something different, and it made all the difference.

It's actually insane that the feds are promising to put more than double the amount of money they're putting into childcare, into AI.

Why not just set it on fire and dance around it hoping to sway the gods to our favour?

The entire right-wing propaganda machine came after Zohran Mamdani.

The president and his allies came after him.

Democratic leaders, by and large, did not have his back until the last minute.

He still won, turning out historic numbers and inspiring young voters.

His politics can win anywhere.
Perfect example of a broken clock being right twice a day. She's not wrong. This is a budget that only strengthens the disproportionate burdens on everyday Canadians like you and me. This is a budget solely for the people both she and Carney cater to
But but but he wrote about it in his book! You can't actually pay attention to his actual actions and policies!!

(/s if that wasn't obvious, Carney stans are wildly delusional sometimes)

I too am a bedraggled unwrapped coconut amongst the pretty pristinely wrapped hams.
There's a few threads on the city subreddit where people claiming to be registered voters were encountering issues. Besides your point, you're not wrong, but I hope you look into it more
What the fuck is "soy-faced"?

That is like, almost militant insecurity he's displaying
Listening to the Ensemble Montréal candidate for Pierrefonds talk on CBC about PM not listening to constituents is tragically hilarious, their party was literally voted out 2 elections ago in part because of Coderre's attempt to force through that disaster of an electric racing event

Very early in the night for MTL municipal elections results, but sounds like Ensemble Montreal already has a substantial lead for mayor. Not surprising, but still... fuck. Soraya is the worst, and doesn't even live here (moving here in June absolutely doesn't count)

Holy leading survey batman. Did the person who wrote the election reform survey write this? jfc LPC you could not be more transparent
I'm disputing your claim of psychosis. Not disputing they're two distinct phenomena.
Not all delusions are psychosis, and based on the strong compulsion to continue their irrational behaviours, addiction centred on this "relationship" is more likely the case than psychosis. Delusions being involved? Sure. Psychosis? Nah fam.
I'm well aware of dopamine's downstream role in various addiction behaviours. Read what I said again. I'm talking about the cellular mechanics of addiction. Like you say, dopamine is involved with all sorts of behaviours. But it's a very specific set of biological conditions that define addiction.
the biochemical mechanics at play could very well be the same 2/2
Counterpoint- theories of addiction centre on the sudden onset of a flood of neurotransmitters (NTs) due to a stimulus, to the point where the concentration of NT receptors is upregulated and you begin to constantly crave that effect. Relationships are tied to oxytocin release; 1/2
The ocytocin boost must be unreal from AI relationships. You're not wrong
Horror Beauty and the Beast is the one live action remake I could actually get behind
Cure in air quotes because of course there's no single silver bullet for cancer. But the future of treatment is in mRNA vaccines, that's always been apparent
I think what'll happen is they'll pour billions into private mRNA vaccine research, then hoard the lifesaving innovations for themselves. They're always telling on themselves with the conspiracies they push. The "cure" for cancer is within reach, they sure as shit won't allow it to benefit the poors
Ursula Le Guin basically pioneered the genre, didn't she? Well, Mary Shelley, but Le Guin shaped modern-day sci fi. Fuck these guys
I remember watching "highlights" of a game with an ex years ago on ond of those sports networks. It was a 30 minute recap... that showed literally all the action in the game. The entire hours-long game consisted of half an hour of actual play
