The entire right-wing propaganda machine came after Zohran Mamdani.

The president and his allies came after him.

Democratic leaders, by and large, did not have his back until the last minute.

He still won, turning out historic numbers and inspiring young voters.

His politics can win anywhere.

Very early in the night for MTL municipal elections results, but sounds like Ensemble Montreal already has a substantial lead for mayor. Not surprising, but still... fuck. Soraya is the worst, and doesn't even live here (moving here in June absolutely doesn't count)

Not all delusions are psychosis, and based on the strong compulsion to continue their irrational behaviours, addiction centred on this "relationship" is more likely the case than psychosis. Delusions being involved? Sure. Psychosis? Nah fam.

I'm well aware of dopamine's downstream role in various addiction behaviours. Read what I said again. I'm talking about the cellular mechanics of addiction. Like you say, dopamine is involved with all sorts of behaviours. But it's a very specific set of biological conditions that define addiction.

Counterpoint- theories of addiction centre on the sudden onset of a flood of neurotransmitters (NTs) due to a stimulus, to the point where the concentration of NT receptors is upregulated and you begin to constantly crave that effect. Relationships are tied to oxytocin release; 1/2
