Of course, as has already been pointed out elsewhere - if this mistake had been about a figure on the right, then we would have had a wall of media demands for the immediate resignation of the DG and for HIGNFY to be cancelled forthwith.

On the one hand, there are plenty of lies and half truths in other parts of the media, but what surprises me is that nobody fact checked this claim. HIGNFY is - rightly - heavily lawyered prior to broadcast and Full Fact had already debunked it.

In any case, it was swiftly corrected.

This is a very shrewd choice, picking someone who opposes Maduro - which the US does.

The speech is also going heavy on the erosion of democracy, authoritarianism and the abuse of the rule of law. No reason for that, obviously.

Hmm. But I think nVidia can probably survive the forthcoming crash as they have a hardware product that will remain in demand. I'd be more concerned about those who have sunk their money into the AI developers.
