Moving to Norway be like:

- Can't sign a rental agreement until I have a Norwegian bank account.
- Can't get a bank account without a Norwegian ID number.
- Can't get a Norwegian ID number without having a rental contract.

It is absolutely hilarious to me how some people think immigration is easy.

Sometimes it just feels like a poem was written exactly for you. I've read this one a hundred times, have even heard WB read it, but when I began to read it this morning the first line brought tears to my eyes.

In the 1950s, National Geographic wanted Kodachrome nature photography that really popped in print. One trick was to put foreground subjects (hikers, etc.) in bright colors; it was called the "red shirt school". Dick Lasher's Pinto makes this the greatest red shirt school photo of all time.

Tomorrow, we will talk about this photo.
A red Ford Pinto hatchback angles across a narrow gravel forest service road, a blue enduro motorcycle on a rear hitch carrier. Tall firs frame the view. Beyond them, a towering ash cloud from a pyroclastic density flow billows skyward. Photo by Richard Kent Lasher, May 18, 1980.

A pleasure in this day and age to walk into a cafe that serves you drinks in regular drinkware, at a table, with accessories.

Not fancy, just regular. An unchanging menu of Viennoiseries, Croque Madame et Monsieur, Quiche and baguettes

Double points if it is within walking distance of your home 💖
A kettle with hot water, a tea cup with a brewing tea bag, a small cup of milk, tissues and a spoon - all at a cafe table table next to a sunlit glass window

Doing some research, I just came across this image of shad fishermen checking their nets in the Bay of Fundy. I'm sharing because it's cool. Have a good day.
Three fishermen are checking nets strung high above the ground. The tide has gone out. One is on a mule-pulled cart, one is climbing a pole, and a third watches from the ground. Credit: Library and Archives Canada/National Film Board fonds/e011176116.

Had to explain to a non-Indian friend once that the rainy seasons - and rains in general - mean romance and generally magic in India (and Pakistan, and the rest of South Asia I think)
