If we can only celebrate women’s achievements in secret, is that really a celebration at all?https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/wa-author-my-book-about-a-cyclist-was-too-radical-for-storytime/
Why my children's book was labeled too radical for storytime | Op-Ed
Celebrating Women’s History Month by reading a picture book about a woman’s bicycle journey turned out to be more controversial than I ever imagined.

People think the first thing Gutenberg printed was the Bible. This is false. The first things he printed were a political prophecy, propaganda about the Turks’ threat to Christendom, & a popular school text. If you want a parallel to AI, that’s it: making $ from conspiracies, racism, & school slop.

Here’s the statewide map of drop boxes. Use one of those rather than trusting the USPS to deliver your ballot on time.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you give a list of the prescriptions you take to a federal government that has directly targeted people with chronic illness, mental illness, disability, autism, etc, with the eugenic language of elimination and stated outright they’re everything wrong with the country.

1. Vehemently anti-LGBTQ+ Oklahoma education superintendent is finally out as of yesterday.

He appointed Libs of TikTok to the library board, and constantly worked against LGBTQ+ students.

Now, local businesses are literally throwing parties that he is gone.

We Are Finally Free of Oklahoma’s Anti-Trans Superintendent Ryan Walters
From his culture war casualties to financial impropriety, Ryan Walters was a menace. Thank God he’s gone—for now, at least.

I just got a VERY interesting email that allies in congress were upset that so many of my readers were calling about the anti-trans provisions. I'm here to say: good. I won't let them throw our rights under the bus by cover of night.

All's that to say, keep up the calls. They're hearing you.

1. It's shutdown day, and anti-trans provisions are on the line... either today, or in a few more weeks if a clean continuing resolution passes.

Trump posted a video this morning blaming a shutdown on trans people and immigrants.

Here is your shutdown guide.

This has to be a hard absolutely the fuck not line in the sand

A vote for any budget including this provision is a vote that'll ensure that Dems lose next year in the midterms

You aren't going to beat this administration back by sacrificing trans people
In a post on Truth Social earlier this month, the president demanded that Democrats support provisions in an appropriations bill which would ban federal funding for any hospital or medical facility that provided gender-affirming care, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT), to a patient of any age.
