- call it "digital commission"
- include product use, turnaround time, and refund policies in ToS field
- uncheck "ship items to address"
- DON'T write NSFW/adult

It's why the scene at the end of CLU desperately, angrily trying to appeal to Flynn still works for me. It's like peering into a window where you can see the real movie. "I did everything you told me because you said it was the right thing to do and NONE of it is working and I can't make it right."

I have a huge soft spot for legacy, but it's definitely a love for its potential more than what's on the screen. It's ostensibly a story that asks what you do when you have clear and present proof that God is real, he had a plan for the world and for you, and he was so flawed his plan was doomed.

but when all the other programs are already acting like people and they like go to bars and have sex with each other, then what makes an ISO different from them? there's no contrast there, you've completely lost the hook.

it's why the ISOs in tron legacy don't really work for me. the idea that you have programs that emerge purposelessly from the inherent complexity of code is really interesting, because they would be programs that exist without inherent purpose. you know, like what a human life is!

exactly! i like when things that aren't human feel inhuman! that's the point of including them in a narrative! if you want to make a story about humans with glowy lights all over them, just go make that and call it something besides tron!

i think where a lot of people fall down in emulating a style or another medium is they're looking for a list of rules to follow instead of trying to reproduce the process of how the thing was made

the hard truth is you're trying to emulate the intentionality of hand-drawn inking, and there's gonna be a lot to that. i think about this stuff constantly when i'm working with grease pencil in blender.

the best part of the original tron is when the little wormy guy condemned to death starts talking about how exciting it is to be financial planning software. that's tron to me, the farther you get from a little computer man who loves his boring job he was programmed for the less it's tron
