No, I'm thinking, you don't cut the roll all the way through (keep the taint intact), then stack. Hotdog, layer of toppings, second dog, layer of toppings. Would work nicely for either Chicago style or a chili dog

When I lived in DC there was a place near GWU that would serve double hamburgers lengthwise on a hoagie roll. One of the options was to get them topped with a split hot dog and barbecue sauce.

I bet the hoagie roll would work for double dogging.

"Cosplaying" and "larping" are real activities done by real people, and using these terms as slang for "pretending to be someone you're not, for political purposes" does indeed alienate those of us who take part in these activities.

It sounds like an old joke but I'm 100% serious: if conversion therapy was actually a non-coercive, voluntary, and respectful attempt to relieve an individual's distress about their own sexuality, heterosexual women would be choosing it at least semi-regularly.

The full phrase comes from a poem written by the Scottish poet William Sharp under the name Fiona MacLeod.

This is why, if at all possible, I want my manuscript to be edited by someone who reads both widely and well.

TIL that Carson McCullers originally titled her manuscript of "The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter" as "The Mute". I believe neither she nor the book would be remembered half so well if the title had not been changed. The change was recommended by her editor.
