Pretty much I love when (whether it’s necessary for gameplay or not) objects from the game world are made as real objects in some way. In this case, putting news clips on audio tape. Also modern stuff like when Pokémon Center releases in-game objects. It has to be a fun job to make things like that.

I’m gonna likely pull Follower from GC in the next few days. I don’t support them using AI on creators’ work without permission and I don’t trust that I won’t end up in that blender myself somehow.

It sounds even worse, like starting with AI script garbage and then passing it through another 2-3 people who they admit right there might not even have read the comic?? That’s not helpful to anyone if it’s a misrepresentation. Let alone the AI use. What on earth were they thinking??

food banks have already been under pressure over the past several years, and with SNAP benefits expiring they're going to be the only safety net for a lot of people

please donate what you can. $100 can feed several families for a month because of the discounts and purchasing power they have

Unfortunately it hasn’t done much for me and it’s just one more thing to remember to update. If they’re going to do things like this though, I don’t know that I want to leave my work in their hands so to speak.

Yeah it’s bizarre of them to just misrepresent your work without even asking first. I know they have some rights to use images in the TOS but I don’t think this falls under that. Not thrilled to hear and may end up taking my comics off GC.

Folks if you usually do end-of-year/holiday charity giving, consider moving it up to the beginning of November instead and hit up however many local food pantries you can afford to give to. (Check if you or a spouse/partner's employer does charity matching, too.)

In short, we do not know exactly what will happen with November SNAP benefits if the shutdown continues, but we do know there will not be enough money available to fully fund everyone's EBT card.
