Like, I don't think your item shouldn't be made! It sounds neat. All things can coexist. D&D is an exceptionally modular system, for better or worse ultimately.

See, this is all well and good, excpet the Combat Wheelchair wasn't an official D&D item, it was a homebrew item created by someone who uses wheelchairs. No one is trying to force you to use their homebrew and there really shouldn't be a rule that every disabled person has to like a design.

It has been upsetting watching the establishment hurl itself at Mamdani but I think the other way to read that is that there really is a *better* politics possible and he shows that it is REAL.

We could have this.

They wouldn't fight it so hard if it wasn't achievable.

I used to get mad when people misused "decimated" to refer to things that weren't 1/10th destroyed, but I've given it some thought and now I've done a complete 360 on it

There are sane people who would remain disabled: the poor and those who fear or stigmatize magic.

No one bats an eye at a D&D/Fantasy character missing an arm or having a giant scar on their face, it only bugs then when severely marginalized disabilities are involved.

Is this a "DM doesn't let the player's be spellcasting classes" or "DM doesn't put restriction on spellcasting, but almost no NPCs do it so PCs feel a little out of place slinging spells" situation?

The gay men I interviewed were even more emphatic and quick to differentiate
themselves from muxes. Mario, an articulate twenty-four-year-old gay man, for
