Amidst all the stuff about the male loneliness "epidemic" there's a serious conversation to be had about how much bigotry has been made out to be harmless until the bleeding starts. These people will not stop at harming the Other. They hate all of you. And they want to watch you suffer and die.

Good morning

Chasing waterfalls and autumn views! Who else has stood on the Benson Bridge at Multnomah Falls and felt tiny compared to this natural wonder? Highly recommend visiting the Columbia River Gorge this time of year!

Today on the beach it felt like summer. Also I walked the length of it twice because I left my scarf on the far end and didn't notice until we got back to the hotel 🙄
Wet beach and rocks in the sea under a clear sunny sky Crow perched on a driftwood tree impaled in the sand. This is where I lost my scarf, admiring the crow. Blue-green sea, empty beach, clear sky Sea foam, surf, rocks, ocean

God morning from the beach 🌊
Sweep of pacific ocean looking south, mostly empty beach, driftwood logs and a bird flying

Share a TV show you love from the 1970's. 📺
The original cast of "Are You Being Served?" - Mrs. Slocombe (Mollie Sugden) holds up a pair of pink underwear with "No Parking" printed on it to show to her associates who have gathered around her. Standing next to her is Miss Brahms (Wendy Richard), then Mr. Lucas (Trevor Bannister), Mr. Rumbold (Nicholas Smith), Mr. Mash (Larry Martyn), Mr. Grainger (Arthur Brough), Mr. Humphries (John Inman), and across from her is Captain Peacock (Frank Thornton). One of my fave shows, and I also really liked the sequel "Grace and Favour" (also known as "Are You Being Served? Again!").

I only get to have cut flowers when we're out of town because Spica eats every plant she can get her fangs on so I can't have any in the house lol

Vacation flowers and my current gothic novels
A coffee table with peachy-orange roses in a water glass, next to a stack of two books: Ghost Song by Dorothy Daniels (1974 paperback) about a woman being possessed by the ghost of a murderous opera singer, and the just released, and so far excellent, All of Us Murderers by KJ Charles

Check your animal shelters. I know ours has a program that helps people who can't afford pet food.

Gentle reminder: I am seeing more "I cannot afford pet food" posts & if you might face this in the near future/now, I recommend checking your local area's subreddit and posting if anyone knows of local programs for pet food. Many areas have small under-the-radar charities that give out pet food.

"On the Borders of Two Worlds", the famous occult series from the 1870s to the 1890s. Now extermely rare, it was written by Dutch spiritist, feminist and school reformer Elise van Calcar. She offers a wealth of weird phenomena from the international media of her day.

You can arrest us or pepper spray us or whatever, but we will make you look stupid and feel silly doing it because wanting to assert control is stupid. You want to assert control? Do it to an inflatable frog!
So, it’s not just a meme thing, it’s a Portland cultural thing.

Today on the beach was an offering. A series of them, in fact. Also the usual pelicans and seals but none of the pics I took of them came out at all.
Red carnation left on the beach near the water Surf coming in between the rocks and a driftwood tree trunk Sun shining on the sea turning it silver in the glare Blue ocean under the cloudless sunny sky

I used to think people just didn’t understand what Columbus did but now I think some are really attached to him (as opposed to other worthy italians to celebrate) because their whole thing is not only getting away with doing horrible things but forcing everyone to praise them for being horrible
