One thing that really stood out in the build up to the Caerffili by-election was the, not very subtle, bot activity in favour of Reform.

They’re there to shut you down and drown out other views.

My latest 👇
The bot element of Reform’s online army is very active and not very subtle. This toxic environment is designed to shut down other views and disillusion you into giving up. But bots can’t vote ✍️ Ethan Jones
Reform's humbling in Caerffili and the online bots
Ethan Jones Make no mistake, the Caerffili by-election result is an embarrassing defeat for Reform UK. A humbling. Given the coverage in the UK media and activity across social media, in the lead up t...

£75,000 for 164 flags.

This is how Reform will spend your money.

Wales generally has a left of centre political identity.

This is how Caerphilly voted.

Reform may win a lot of seats in Wales, but it will be so hard for them to ever form a Government as most ppl don't agree with them.

This is why proportional systems are so much better.

The people of Caerphilly are not nearly as gullible as Nigel Farage thought they were. For him and his abominable party, the by-election loss is a huge setback that they weren’t expecting✍️ Martin Shipton
Reform's defeat is a triumph for Wales
Martin Shipton Lindsay Whittle’s triumph in the Caerphilly by-election is a victory not only for Plaid Cymru, but for Wales. Like many others, I had been seduced into believing that the Farage bandwag...

A reminder.

Only 6.9% of people in Wales were born overseas.

Just 2.9% of people in Caerphilly were born overseas.

Whereas 38% of medical consultants in Wales were born overseas.

Immigrants are not holding our NHS back, they are propping it up.

If you live in Caerphilly and you don't want Nigel Farage vote Plaid Cymru.

It can't, and it won't.

It's the continuation of our burning of fossil fuels, or stopping it ASAP, that will either save the world or destroy it.

However, I do feel sorry for the people of Caerphilly, the choices are so overwhelmingly old, white men who don't seem to have an original political thought in their minds.
Personally I hope that in the Caerphilly by-election Reform don't win. From the polls it looks like the Plaid candidate is the only one capable of beating Reform so I guess I hope they win.

Caerphilly by-election prediction; narrow Reform win (perhaps in recount territory).

Really hope I’m wrong, but the UK media have massively facilitated Reform turning this devolved by-election into being about non-devolved matters which may prove decisive.

Which is interested because I'd say that for a lot of people involved in pushing AI tech; the CEOs, sycophants and so forth, that's exactly what they want in a 'friend'. They're not looking for friendship, they just want people hanging on their every, ill-informed word.
The reporter says: "There’s nothing interesting about interacting with “someone” who just wants to hear about your day, and doesn’t have any history, anecdotes, foibles, insecurities or opinions of their own."
