Imagine the possibilities if we redirected these fossil fuels subsidies from fossil fuels to renewables and related infrastructure instead

Presumably there would be some short term increases in energy costs, but the sooner we can uncouple ourselves from fossil fuels the sooner it’ll all get cheaper

Shockingly, the councils that are already strapped for cash don’t have a lot of waste. It’s almost like they’ve already had to cut services to the bone just to survive.

Everyone in Reform has such a hugely inflated sense of ego that they think we want to hear them rattle on all day. If they did a good enough job the results would speak for themselves. But they don’t know how to do the job, so they shirk their duties and spout off instead

Every excuse they come out with is worse than the last. First Farage claims to not know him, now he did know him but didn’t know about the bribes? The facts aren’t on his side. We need to keep pushing them on this, and they will keep tripping themselves up

They’re feeling threatened now and the only play is to go for personal attacks and threats. If they were truly innocent and Gill was just an outlier then they would be doing whatever they needed to prove it. Their constant lies and refusal to answer questions shows their guilt. Keep it up!

For nursing I believe you can take a return to practice program or a competency test if you don’t meet the hours requirement. Not sure on other professions

The solution could be more nuanced than a full ban if there are good reasons for it. But allowing this, and 12 jobs Farage is a bit ridiculous

That’s fair. By a certain point it does devolve into a shouting contest with no real progress, and of no use to anyone.

What we really need is a proper investigation into it, and not let it get brushed under the rug like so many other things with Reform and co

Proportional Representation is the radical idea that a party that gets 30% of the vote should never have 100% of the power.

In most stable democracies, this is already obvious. Why not here?
