At the same time as the Chicago raid, ICE made its first raid in Madison.

7 individuals were disappeared on the NE side.

They’re here in our city. What are we going to do about it?
Fuck you Tim Cook.

An image of the Trump-Vance presidency smashing a wrecking ball into the White House to build a monument to Dear Leader—during a government shutdown—captures 2025 pretty well
Scoop: Trump has started demolishing the White House's East Wing facade to build his ballroom. The president had claimed construction of the $250 million building wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure. /W @ddiamond.bsky.social wapo.st/4hqBNiU

AI slop is the aesthetic of fascism as folks like to say.

Art made by the human spirit must be our aesthetic.
Facebook is melting our brains.
Narrator: China is done buying US soybeans.
Trump: "I want China to buy soybeans. One of the things I want is China is gonna buy soybeans."

All my homies hate Derrick Van Orden.
This fucking loser snowflake Rep wants IRS to investigate us. That’s EXACTLY why we all showed up. Authoritarian shit like this which gets worse daily.
Ahhh. Excellent! My reading comprehension may have been subpar.
I thought there was broadly a more diverse set of participants across many dimensions this time compared to last in Madison.

But definitely just my perception.

Putin reminded him of the kompromat.
"The US president tossed aside maps of the frontline in Ukraine, insisted Zelenskyy surrender the entire Donbas region to Putin, and repeatedly echoed talking points the Russian leader had made in their call a day earlier"

Call it a state-organized tax strike. Call it fiscal disobedience. Tell me it’s illegal. I don’t really care. The law, which is now Trump’s preferred fascist tool, is not justice and is not binding when its founding social contract is disregarded. We must stop paying for our own fascist subjugation.
Yesterday, millions marched against fascism. Now our elected leaders need to take action to confront Trump’s assault on Democratic cities and states.

In The Guardian today, I outline a strategy: “fiscal disobedience” as one part of an “anti-fascist federalism.”

I'm all for our right as people to map out our own form of gender expression or whatever, but if you think that mincing yankee bitch is an example of "real masculinity", we are not and will never be the same.
Hence your quote at the top of the thread pointing the way.
Impeachment is the relief valve. And whelp, it’a welded shut.

Wow, people, you do not need to repost the literally shitty video this much. It’s bad, but you don’t have to repost it. I believe that’s exactly what the whiner-in-chief wants.
Hell yeah. Way to go Polebridge!

Need to get back there some day.
Reposting his AI slop is doing his work for him.

You can describe it. No need to spread it.

Malignant narcissist gonna malignant narcissist.
Do not spread his ugliness. This is our days, not his.

First, it staves off apathy, cynicism, and despair.

Second, it demonstrates to those who might use violence against innocent civilians that they would be doing so against grannies, kids, neighbors.

Third, it shows allies and partners that the America they need is alive.
Here is my question, and it’s an earnest one I promise: whose mind will it change and to what end?

I don’t have any answers about what we need to do. But like, we did protests in 2017, and 2020. Among the biggest in NATIONAL HISTORY. Voting in my opinion has a much more direct effect than this.
The numbers I am seeing, and the breadth of people and places with basically no arrests and so forth, seem to me an unqualified political loss for them. It is a show of strength rather than the fight itself, but you can’t downplay it.
Too much focus is often placed on a protest events ability to achieve tangible outcomes or shift political narratives.

Such focus ignores the potential for the internal change participating in such events can create for those who attend.

We’re social animals.
