In addition to the new Wicked clip that Jon M Chu brought this morning, there were a number of scenes from Part 1, which he then spoke about, and literally every single one made me cry. Even Dancing Through Life. I sobbed thru Jonny Bailey's sexy dancing. This film makes me FEEL THINGS, I'm afraid.

Honestly this sort of morning is the reason I hope I never have to move out of London. There are very few places in the world where you can have this sort of experience. On a Friday morning. For free. I've lived here for 8 years, and that never gets old, and I never take it for granted.

This afternoon I was at the London Film Festival at the BFI to see Rian Johnson speaking about the art of making a murder mystery on films. Fantastic interview, full of great clips from various whodunnits including my beloved Evil Under the Sun and the new Benoit Blanc. Amazing time.

I know that the show was set post-Avengers blah blah but it always felt so dated/out of touch to me for this reason. Couldn't suspend any disbelief. Hell's Kitchen is practically cosy irl.
