After the first technical was assessed, Coach Tibbetts stepped in closer aggressively to the calling official and again yelled, 'That's fucking terrible.' At that point, a second technical was assessed, and he was ejected.

QUESTION: Okay, so that answers what did Nate say. And they were two separate, the first and the second?

Roy Gulbeyan: They were two separate.

QUESTION: Right. And why wasn't the (Kathryn) Westbeld foul on A'ja (Wilson) reviewed for a possible upgrade?

Roy Gulbeyan: The official on the play saw her land on the side of her foot and did not feel instant replay was warranted on the play. After reviewing video postgame, we should have reviewed it for a potential upgrade.

QUESTION: And then the last, yeah, just the techs on...

Roy Gulbeyan: Techs on (DeWanna) Bonner and Kahleah (Copper)?

QUESTION: Yeah.

Roy Gulbeyan: Copper.

Roy Gulbeyan: For Bonner's technical? After a shot attempt, Bonner was given a heat-of-the-moment reaction, and she continued to protest the no-call and overtly air punched at the official, and a respect- for-the-game technical was assessed.

I will be fascinated to see how international accolades play into the debate when she is done. Especially if 2028 doesn't go as planned for Team USA. A'ja will likely have the most dominant W resume, no Euro League resume, and could be the only player in the debate with an Olympic Silver medal.
