I am an ADHD/Autism self-advocate and researcher. I skeet these things sporadically ADHD/Autism/AuDHD science, local Aotearoa (NZ) politics, my own personal experiences with AuDHD.

At a per council level yes, at a number of votes level no.

More people voted for Māori wards to be retained than voted to remove them.

When Northland faces heaps of issues I want you to understand that the majority of primarily old white people here won't do anything to improve anything if it could cost them even a small amount.

Our economy survives due to beaches, and that is it.

Probably the strongest evidence that this is indeed fascism is the fact that so many scholars of fascism have fled the US. When people who study it at a professor or tertiary level, and they are in fear for their safety, maybe people should realise what it is.

Fascists are deeply fragile by nature. They are incredibly thin skinned, so when they are made to feel small and insignificant, they lose so much of their power over others.

They can't react violently without completely undermining their cause. They look foolish at the moment, keep it up.

Keep thinking about how much morale must be affected for ICE in Portland when the "enemy" they are fighting are a bunch of people in inflatable animal costumes dancing.

Imagine how much of a tool you'd feel like if you were sent in and there is just heaps of people having a party outside.

The current win seems deeply hypocritical as someone who stands up to authoritarianism whilst also praising President Trump, a deeply autocratic leader. Should have just gone with the 1948 Winner.
