It is unclear whether it’s mine or everyone else’s, but I feel like I’m coming across a Mandela effect right now. How am I, a “Far Side” fan who devotedly read every panel when it came out for decades,

As a cishet white man I wouldn’t qualify for refugee status and I wouldn’t want to get in the way of someone who is actually oppressed anyway. I’ll just have to fantasize for now…

I hope that it’s for the same reasons: he’s slowly been driven mad by guilt about all of the deaths he’s responsible for (I know that’s a myth the current owners use to sell tickets, but I’ll take it).
