I’d like to finish and post more personal stuff. Most of what I do at home is really to learn some new technique or process. I tend to not finish it once I get the “aha” moment.

In the meantime, here’s some lookdev/shading stuff I’ve done for work in the last few years that’s no longer NDA. 🧵

This is my most recent personal project, which took me months to complete. It was during an extremely difficult time in my life, just last year.

I'm proud of how far it went, and it was satisfying to create something complex that wasn't tucked behind an NDA. Here's a quick Before and After :)

I’m sorry, the answer to this clue is “crab”? 12 foot crabs exist?

In spite of being a big artsy weirdo outwardly for most of my younger life (and inward permanently), in my middle age I look more or less like this guy. Our presence at protest - nondescript average dudes- is important for exactly this reason. Bc the fascists wrongly assume we’re on their side

Parent of teenagers here: this advice is 100% true. The best way to get your kids to stop saying something is to say it too.
if you're an older person who finds words like mogg and maxxing annoying, just starting using them. people over the age of 30 have the superpower to end trends by simply adopting them

Car dealerships should offer pods you can rent by the hour to take naps in while you wait for your car to be serviced, just throwing it out there. Most adults are sleep deprived, it's an untapped market! lol

I love seeing the growing power of teachers unions getting these big wins. If there’s any industry where the “there just isn’t money for that” myth is accepted as fact it’s education. To see collective action easily blowing that lie up is inspiring. Imagine what it can in a for profit industry…

Whenever I drive my 14 yo son someplace, he wordlessly takes his earphones out to listen to what I’m listening to. After a few seconds, he usually puts his earphones back in, also without a word.

It’s the most savage burn of my musical tastes imaginable.
