Yes. I find populism overly emotional & generally lacking in nuanced discourse. Sadly, in our current age of mass ignorance, populist overtures is one of the few vehicles capable of activating voters. However, unlike right winger, most leftist populists correctly ID problems & offer viable policies.

Corruption (Trump)
Extreme conservative ideology (Vought)
Fascism (Miller)

"Dictatorship to protect corruption" is a plausible master narrative for Trump; it squares well with J6 in particular.

But it's not the same story for Vought, who supports dictatorship to deliver on a hideously unpopular conservative ideological agenda, or Miller, who wants it to do legit fascism.

We've got similar MAGA weirdos running our city. They've done everything they could to both fuck over our city in the present, but also mark public bldgs w/ MAGA nonsense & make it difficult to undo their extremist policies by changing our city charter.
