Sometimes I cook on reflex and make something with (as the Chinese say) "exploding flavor" -- meant to have maybe 20-25% entree and 75-80% rice (or noodles, or...).

And then, on my low carb diet, it's just too intensely spiced. So I have to wait while I cook millet or something low-carb-friendly.
