My wife makes a pot of Café Bustelo first thing every morning, and that is one of the sustaining joys of my life.

This is what I love about nonviolence in general and carnival resistance in particular: Imagine a meeting consisting primarily of feds and agitators who, in order not to expose themselves, end up egging each other into frog suits and dwarf hats. The failure modes are better than the success modes!

As far as I can tell, each political party has its own Overton Window. The Republican Window extends to Everybody in the Punch Down direction, and stops at Nobody in the Punch Up direction. The Democratic Window extends to Some People in the Punch Down direction and Maybe A Little in the Punch Up +
