Amazing. Yeah you'd see these pockets of "holy shit that was easy and just worked?!" services within govt. And most of that was USDS, 18f, and the various other "digital services" within agencies. It's just, the govt is huuuge and there was still plenty of work to do.

I was on the team. We knew the commissioner, Chris and Bridget and many others were protecting the work. It was tough work and an insane timeline but the team was fantastic and morale was sky high until the DOGE months.

Direct File is live and processing tax returns!

One of the most rewarding things I have delivered. And some incredible updates this year - half the states in the nation are eligible, and we support some data import of information IRS already has!
