Oh you lucked out. I'll remove mine VERY briefly for a photo, but not for the whole event. I think trying to incorporate the mask is gonna be the way to go. For ECCC22, I did Depression Robe Ed and drew Blackbeard's flag on a black KN95 with Sharpie a couple of days ahead of time and it worked out.

I skipped NYCC but ECCC that year was a similar story and I was SO glad I wore one. With literally thousands of people coming in from everywhere, no amount of cool cosplay is worth the risk.

(I mean obviously you two have to communicate/coordinate who's doing what based on what each of you has going on, but like, if there are dirty dishes, he should know to do them)

Yeah, unfortunately you do have to shoulder the burden of making him understand just how much you do and what needs to be done. But he can't expect you to essentially "delegate" tasks to him daily. Once he knows what half the workload actually is, it's on him to contribute to without being asked.

I hate this. It happens to so many people who fill the "wife" role. If you're both working equal hours, then everything as it pertains to the household is equally his responsibility. I hope you're able to have a talk about it that makes him realize both the physical and emotional labor you put in.
