This discrepancy speaks to how identity is paradoxically seen and not heard by AEON. Documentation all says replikas are equal, that those who “destabilize” are not real or proper. But if replikas are all the same, why take individual pictures for unique keycards?

The ID cards in signalis baffle me. It seems the photos are taken of each individual unit—see how ara’s picture is a little off-center. It doesn’t match the photo in the “known issues” documentation of the “standard” ara replika.

Why take individual photos if replikas are meant to be uniform?
