#AwesomeCharacters Kestrel and Scar are contrasts in that regard.

Kestrel's spontaneous and tends to improvise. Scar prefers to have a plan (and will often shake his head in disapproval until Kestrel comes up with one).

I'm mostly a pantser, but when I was ghostwriting I would outline. On Upwork, I was specifically asked to provide a chapter breakdown (which I got paid for). I carried that over to Fiverr, but made it a complimentary service (charged a higher rate).

Discord has said that 70,000 UK Government issued User IDs have been compromised, 57 days after the law went into force.

Under 2 months.

The thing they said would "keep kids safe" online has now exposed those very same kids full identities to hackers.

Discord is not to blame. It's a case of when, not if, any company gets hacked.

The blame lies squarely with the UK government.

Can someone remind me how these clowns conquered the world?

#AwesomeCharacters I suppose there's Christmas, but it would likely be geared more towards gatherings than gifts, and depends on the port and the denomination of the controlling state.

Kestrel and Scar would enjoy some decent food and rum.

The first one who comes to mind is Gerald Riviera, a "kinda witchy" adventurer skilled in both sword and sorcery...who's also a massive coward.

Think a mash-up of Geralt and Rincewind.

Scar was sold off from his parents at an early age and spent most of his life in servitude. Like Kestrel, he also despises authority, but finds that many who live outside the law are no better.

Beneath his "strong silent type" persona is a feeling of hopelessness.

#PlotTober For Kestrel, he hates authority because his father put him under academic pressure from an early age. After a scandal, he was forced to leave home and join the navy.

His thrill-seeking personality is a form of risk-taking behaviour stemming from depression.

#WeeknightWriters #FirstDraftFall Kestrel lives aboard the pirate ship Albatross, on which he serves as first mate under Captain Daniel Bristol.

Scar lives in a camp hidden in the mangroves on Crab Island with the other maroons who'd escaped the plantation, led by Thema.

#PlotTober Kestrel is suave and charismatic, but he's also quite brash and impulsive.

Scar has an aura of menace and doesn't talk much, but he's also assessing the situation. He's a bit more level headed, but can be too cautious at times. He's hard to read, but can be caring.
