Fight scenes. I always want to see Kestrel and Scar buckling some swashes.

Whether it's a boarding action or bar-room brawl.
Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters

What are your favorite scenes to write with your character?

Fighting/action? Bonding between characters? Revealing their backstory? Scheming? Exploring? Something else?

Does it change for different characters?

Q2: What is one thing that’s brought you joy this week? #WeeknightWriters

#WeeknightWriters Stressed, depressed, and kind of a mess.
Q1: How are you holding up this week? Vent as much as you need to, this is a safe space (as safe as any public social media space can be) #WeeknightWriters

#WeeknightWriters Hi, I'm Andy. I recently blew the dust of a fan fiction I started a while back in goblin gangster TTRPG. Writing has been slow, but I did write a book review that goes live on Saturday
Hello #WeeknightWriters! Come on in, introduce yourself and your WIP, and let us know how your writing week is going! (Or not going, that's fine too)

Well, I want to go back to working on Escape from Crab Island if the job situation gets sorted out.
My 2026 writing goal is to finally finish this novel in the first half and then write weird shit for the second half. What's your writing goal?

Techbros seem to love Tolkien, so here's an analogy to help you understand what genAI is.

GenAI is The One Ring. You think your use is justified, b/c you don't have evil in your heart.

But it came from evil, it is intended for evil purpose, & anything you do with it will be twisted to that end.

A combination of wanting to explore TTRPG worlds when I didn't have players to run them with, and teenage rebellion.

I struggled with the jump from GCSE to A Level, and writing was something the exam boards had no say in.
With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

Just so we're blaringly clear - Fuck AI.

Fuck having to second guess the art you see and want to enjoy, fuck the insidious way they're attempting to normalize it, fuck the way it feels like it has crept into every facet of existence, fuck the theft, the deceit and the problems it causes.

I keep getting a promotional email from CV Library advertising joining the Metropolitan Police.

Fuck off. I've no desire to make a living through uniformed thuggery. Besides, I don't even live in London.

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone

- tech is now more expensive
- you cannot trust most media of reality anymore
- programs barely function
- energy prices
- literal psychosis
- your voice can be literally stolen for evil
- more spyware

but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.
