One of the most incredible WTF!! moments I have witnessed in 41 years birding Belvide. 8 White-rumped Sandpiper on the north shore between 4pm-5.30pm. Just short of a British Record of 11 on the outer Hebrides. Thought I'd lost the plot when I saw them. Still pinching myself. #UKbirding

It did at first they looked like Lapwings then they came a bit closer but continued N over the sea until out if sight.

It's bird recording that's all. Locally the records are taken off ebird anyway so there isn't much risk in the US.

Surely Chris, the recorder must find that an irritant, knowing he could have had a more comprehensive report, but due to his own fickle tastes, doesn't?
It would make me reconsider membership knowing the info is only partially complete.

As a county bird recorder I can honestly say that the best and easiest way for you to make your birding count, is to upload them to either eBird or BirdTrack. Doing so contributes directly to #ornithology and bird #conservation at both local and national levels.
