Fair to say that the last couple of weeks have been something of a slog. We do tend to lose leaves a bit earlier in the autumn on here but this year seems particularly stark #BirdingOrkney Really doesn't feel like there is much left to attract and hold migrants...

Despite a few rares getting the headlines, it’s been by far the worst autumn for migrant nos here. Just terrible. Yes, we’ve had PGP, Greenish & RC Starling etc but it’s been such hard work otherwise.

Hoping we at get some thrushes, owls & seabird movements in the second half…🤞

True peace, however, requires justice. Long before this genocide, Gaza endured a 17-year siege and decades of occupation. Palestinians in the West Bank face apartheid and expanding settlements. Israeli civilians have been murdered and kidnapped.

Despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement, Israeli occupation warplanes bombard several areas across Gaza City earlier today.
