I have very strong doubts about the 'Current Policy Scenario' (CPS) by the @iea.org.

What policies guarantee coal use to start a rapid decline within a decade?

Weak tea pledges don't count.

Unregulated fossil fuel supply has always found demand.

Stop giving them your money.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Some people can get away with antisemitism.

Many decent people have been damaged by malicious accusations of antisemitism.

Almost as if antisemitism isn’t the real focus…
Nigel Farage thinks the song ‘Gas 'Em All’ is just bants. Pass it on.

One would expect Holocaust museums to oppose ongoing genocides, but no.

Long lost lives that can't be saved are sacred, lives being lost now have no value.

There is no point in commemorating victims of past atrocities if that doesn't translate into action now.

Two children have been killed every day in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire began.

Why has this disappeared from the headlines?

The genocide never ended — and our government is still complicit.

End all arms sales to Israel, now.

All those important people, all that science, all that money, all that carbon emitted flying everyone there and the #COP30 “agreement” doesn’t even mention phasing fossil fuels out.

Catastrophic failure. Anyone painting it in a positive light is batshit stupid at best.

Superb close views of the Rough-legged Buzzard this morning in a hedge at Cart Gap, then in flight over Whimpwell Green and Happisburgh.

Really exciting and very enjoyable bird - and rare now - given the lack of records these days.

The final agreement from COP30 doesn't mention fossil fuels, argues we are only 80% of the way to 1.5C, sets out an insane timeline of GHG reductions, and mentions 'a rapidly narrowing window.'

The COP is dead and burried. And COP30 was the final nail.
