The night tinkles like ice in glasses.
Leaves are glued to the pavement with frost.
The brown air fumes at the shop windows,
Tries the doors, and sidles past…

Couldn’t be much clearer that it’s about appeasing the far right, really, could she?

Not here to assuage their bad conscience
Here to lead

"And let me say this clearly: we will challenge every single Labour MP who.goes along with this. It’s not enough to just say you regret it or you’re sad about it. Voters still have a moral compass, even if Labour have smashed theirs to pieces."
Zack Polanski: "Labour Has Lost Its Soul On Immigration, Their Silent MPs Should Be Ashamed"

Writing for HuffPost UK, the Greens leader says only his party will stand up to the powerful and defend the 99%

At the Budget, the Green Party's message is clear: Cut Bills. Tax Billionaires.
November 19, 2025 at 8:20 AM
This is what government looks like.

Research-informed, consensus-based, measures to reduce inequality and cut bills by taxing billionaires and making services sustainable and affordable.

Labour have failed. They wave their silly wee flags to ape RefUK and cheer on the AI-slop growth fairy.

Myself and my @greenparty.org.uk colleagues have written to the Chancellor pressing her to use the upcoming Budget to tackle inequality in Britain: tax wealth, cut bills, and deliver real change for the ordinary families all across this country who desperately need it.
It is a political choice to keep children in poverty whilst billionaire and multimillionaire wealth grows larger.

@greenparty.org.uk has today written to the Chancellor urging her to use the next week's Budget to tax wealth fairly, cut bills and deliver real change.

Is this that bit where The News doesn't talk about a crash in case it spooks the markets more, but the markets know that's what they're doing and that spooks them even more and it crashes anyway? Again.
