From the front yard, so my house is in the foreground under the milky way. Sweet spot with this lens is f/2.8, 10 second exposure, ISO 6400. Six portrait frames with the 28mm f/2.0 Ai-s, stitched with hugin. Note the stitching errors on my house.

Trying out my new Nikkor 28mm f/2 Ai-S on the Sony a7rv. This is five shots just now, f/4, 6 sec exposure, ISO 6400, stitched in hugin. The Milky way looks rather gorgeous from my back yard.

f/4 is rather good. f/2 is coma city.

I'm a big fan of lateral n and p channel enhancement MOSFETs. lower Cgs and Cgd than the equivalent VFETs, albeit at higher Rds. They go faster for a given drive current, and have the advantage of a negative transconductance temperature coefficient, so they're practically indestructible.

I think tonight I cooked the perfect steaks.

@iknowthezarbi.bsky.social asked our butcher for them on Wednesday, and picked them up today. They never made it to the fridge. I salted them for an hour and popped them on the bbq., cooked with calvados & served with onion, zucchini, tomato and potato.

The new antenna will also serve ESA’s efforts towards international collaboration. As part of mutual cross-support arrangements with the agency’s partners, the new antenna can support other space agencies as well as commercial space missions, boosting science return and operational efficiency.
