I've wanted to write something about academic accommodations for a while, and in the absence of other inspiration, I'm just going to put it here.

I have a few points to make but first a bit of context about me. I'm profoundly deaf in my right ear. Basically can't hear anything in it. 1/

One of the benefits of our kid's forced-exposure to 'AI search' results is that they are seeing GenAI/ Google Search deteriorate in front of their eyes. Now Google seems to have trouble with simply presenting symbols and words as humans understand them ...

If I hadn't had a great special education teacher, I would not be a writer today. I might not be anywhere, doing anything. Special education changes and saves lives.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

i think we should drop "Dr." and instead just put a "High" in front of peoples field of expertise to show their immense knowledge. Like eyyy thats Jeff, he's a High Geologist. as opposed to a high Geologist, which he also is
