I’ve also drawn up character sheets for the both of them in Pathfinder: Q’linn as an Inventor (Gunslinger dedication) and Erien as a Magus (Fire Kineticist dedication).

With his love of machinery and undiagnosed childhood trauma, Q’linn would be a welcome addition to a lot of mecha series. Though more likely as an engineer than pilot.

Erien is more at home in brighter heroic fantasy - I did make a draft of her as a Genshin Impact character at one point.

During his teenage thieving years in Ala Mhigo, Q’linn had a crush on the son of some visiting Garlean dignitaries - Maxima quo Priscus. While they met a few times I doubt Maxima was aware of his feelings, and when they met again 15 years later Q’linn was fully committed to his now-wife.

Trained as a thief by his sister and having always had a knack for the more dexterous arts, Q'linn is very adept at picking locks! Though there hasn't been much call for his talent since he left crime behind, he keeps a set of picks on him out of habit and practices often as a hand exercise.

For an actual instance: in Stormblood I decided that Q’linn and his tribe were from Gyr Abania, only to find out that the Q are from Vylbrand and were mostly wiped out by the sahagin. So as a result of tribes splitting and reforming, there can be tribes in different regions sharing a letter.

Mostly, I’ve actually had plot points line up weirdly well with my headcanons. I named my Azem Pytheas, who concepted Thule, then found out that was EW’s final zone. At one point I wrote a scene where Q’linn quotes Haurchefant to Ryne, and then later that dialogue options happens. (cont.)

So uhh, I wanted to look something up in the wiki and learned that the 6th shard already rejoined with the source which means Mavis' backstory doesn't make sense.

Q’linn and Josie are linkpearl, then tomestone, calling daily in the months up to their wedding when they find themselves working on other sides of the star. When Q’linn goes to work with the Cosmic Exploration, they record messages for each other.

My sympathies to whoever monitors those…

The team is relaxing a long-held policy of certain types of gear glamour only being equip-able by certain roles. "Use any gear in your glamour, irrespective of class, job or level restriction." However, weapons/tools are exempt due to animations.

- Stole a barrel of dwarven grog from the Wandering Stairs to drink Giott under the table

Erien’s hands are more calloused from years fighting with a greatsword, with faint pale splotches on her palms from her frequent conjuring of fire. Ink stains on her fingertips are a common sight, as an avid reader and writer both.

Q’linn’s hands are fairly slender, with quite a few healed cuts and burns from his crafting work - his innate lightning resistance means he can shock himself sometimes without noticing. Probably some fresh dirt and grime too. His claws have been clipped down to hyur nail length, but regrow quickly.
