Exceptional heat in AUSTRALIA

In New South Wales max. temperatures yesterday >35C and today tropical nights in some areas.
In fact, the minimum of 20.4C at Mount Seaview is the highest ever recorded in October.

Next days heat wave in Western Australia with up to 44C/45C

We have truly not yet figured out how to cope with a person or institution that is "aware" of climate change, "accepts the science", but then decides to continue actively worsening it anyway

Current thinking is that warming will pretty much stop at zero, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a sting in the tail- if we even get to zero before things break down.

You can protect habitat to a degree.

You can address agricultural policy to a degree.

Laws can be changed to a degree.

But you can only stop the warming by cutting emissions to zero.

And people show very, very little inclination to cut emissions in a meaningful way.
