Me too when I ran it online. A decent dungeon crawl but nothing more - a slightly fancier version of a dungeon board game

Gamma World 7e (the DnD4e edition). Got three lovely boxed sets, never played a second.

There's an interesting thesis there: US roleplaying came from right wing militarism; UK roleplaying came from left wing anti-establishmentism: discuss 😁

I don't think that's pushback tho, to me that's a different point. Whether something deserves to be forgotten is not the same as whether the memory is worthwhile in and of itself which is separate from the pleasure of intellectual discover which is separate from etc.

I opened my first ISA during the mini crash at the start of the year, and it's gained 25%. Sadly I only had £100 to put in, but if I'd had $100m... Easy money.

Interesting read.

My honest view is that, no, gaming history isn't important in the slightest. It's a niche of a niche.

But for some of us, it's interesting and enjoyable. And that makes it as worthwhile as any form of leisure activity.

I still don't understand why govt institutions remain there. I find it utterly bizarre

I confess, I've never seen a Tron

Is it necessary to enjoy this, or can you go into it blind?
