A wealth tax is a non-negotiable position for my primary vote. Also need income tax to be even higher than the FDR era. Give me 100% tax on all income over $50 million

Tesla shareholders have approved a pay package that could make CEO Elon Musk, already the world’s richest person, the world’s first trillionaire. https://cnn.it/43KZnkA

i think we can justifiably slice this thinner. trans issues are of very low salience to the voters democrats need to win on their right flank, and of very high salience to the voters democrats need to win on their left flank
Spanberger’s GOP foe spent 57% of her ad budget on anti-trans attacks. Spanberger focused on the economy. You see what won. trib.al/fkMmsR4

The simple truth told time and time again in the polls: The public doesn’t care about trans issues. Voters care deeply about the economy, inflation, & prices.
He knows he’s rage baiting, calling him a hypocrite doesn’t work. Just call him a stupid asshole and move on
Ted Cruz: "I think right now the 2 frontrunners for the Democratic nomination in 2028 are AOC and Mamdani. Now, he's not even eligible, but what do they care? Law doesn't mean anything to them. That's where their party is."

As the face of the “progressive prosecutor” movement steamrolls to a 3rd term, let me be the millionth person to note that when that movement loses elections it’s billed in national media as a crisis for the left, while the movement’s high points, of which there have been many, are largely ignored.
Democrat Larry Krasner, a national figurehead for reform prosecutors, has won reelection as Philadelphia’s district attorney.
It’s ridiculous how good she is at this. Generational political talent.
PHILLIP: Republicans are saying that Chuck Schumer is afraid of you. Is he?

AOC: I don't think so. Sen. Schumer and I have worked together. I think Republicans are afraid of me and they project their fear onto him. So they're just telling on themselves when they say that.

The whole “try to impoverish the state’s largest region” strategy does not appear to have paid off for Republicans.

It was a foregone conclusion but goddamn does it feel good
Breaking News: Zohran Mamdani, a 34-year-old state lawmaker from Queens, will be the 111th mayor of New York. He will be the first Muslim to ever lead the city, as well as its first South Asian mayor and the youngest mayor in more than a century.

With regards to Mamdani’s comments on Israel, NBC just said that the notion that Israel should be a Jewish state is something that’s core to “Jewish identity.” Come on, man. That’s just offensive.

whatever you think of Spanberger, the fact that her opponent ran a campaign based almost entirely on transphobia and is on track to eat shit in the biggest blowout the state has seen since 2009 is unambiguously a huge win
Earle-Sears ran what felt like 12 billion ads about how much she hated trans kids and I didn’t hear a single pundit say she should stick to real issues that affect real people.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Democrat Abigail Spanberger wins Virginia governor’s race.

i hope to see enterprising democrats announce their intent to retire schumer and gillibrand over the next two years.
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."
The PA court races are the most important ones so I’m not relaxing til those are called.
People legit wrote countless op-ed pieces saying Youngkin was a future president because of that election. When was the last time you thought about him? If ever?
The Virginia results should show JUST how bad McAullife’s campaign was. Spanberger is a vacuum of charisma and she’s still running circles around his numbers.
