...the whole structure and confidence to build under pressure and reset the pitch, switch wings, get forward and pick their spaces using the ball was really impressive there from the Utah Royals. wild finish, but a nice sequence.

by my count, Chicago Stars have equaled the NWSL record for draws in a season with 11.

they share that record with the 2021 NJ/NY Gotham FC team.

even.

“You don’t have a period but that’s fine. You’re an athlete.” A caveat accompanying countless medical results, despite inevitable danger, lines being drawn between sacrifices periods + sporting success. A piece for my sister + those challenging the system. www.nytimes.com/athletic/658...
In women’s sports, athletes losing their periods was long considered normal. Not anymore
A byproduct of wider issues, periods continue to be missed, ignored or misunderstood in elite sports

Everton's Katja Snoeijs had a hole in her heart which required major surgery at the age of 3 and was born with a leg that grew to be 6cms longer than the other. She had to wear special shoes. We spoke about all of that and Everton's book club... #efc ✍️👇

From day one, Saara Hassoun has believed in what makes Aurora special — people, purpose, and possibility.
We’re proud to share she’s stepping into the role of President of Minnesota Aurora FC.

The future’s bright — and very Aurora. 💫

Manaka Matsukubo is an MVP candidate.

She's put herself in an elite class with few young NWSL players.

10+ goal contributions in a season aged 21 or under:

17 - S. Wilson '22*
13 - S. Kerr '14
12 - A. Thompson '24
11 - M. Matsukubo '25
11 - D. Ordonez '22
11 - T. Rodman '21

….Dash have always sneaky been better on the road than at home so still a chance they bank 6 pts but a draw between NC and Racing tmw would be a big big favour
theolloydhughes.bsky.social
it’s not over yet — but can’t help but feel like that is a massively disappointing result for the Dash who needed to bank 3 pts at home to bolster playoff credentials.

next 3 games:

Angel City (a)
KC Current (h)
Portland Thorns (a)
