This is really encouraging. There's a lot of low hanging fruit that Adams dragged his feet on (or made worse) over the past four years. Even if he comes short on the more ambitious parts of his agenda, just making real efforts to fix the obviously broken things is such a breath of fresh air.
Zohran just went out and fixed the Williamsburg Bridge bike entrance. Just did it. No faffing, no nonsense. Bam. Fixed.

Just once I want a goalkeeper to authoritatively rise for a cross, catch the ball, land, and start sprinting forward...but not stop at the edge of the penalty area. Just keep going, holding the ball all the while. As the referee blows the whistle and players try to stop them, they just keep going.

It's one of sports' great oddities that the United States created modern baseball and is its unquestioned power center and yet their international baseball cap logo has been straight-up ass for what feels like forever.

There are two World Cups. The product, marketed and monetized for all it will yield, and the experience.
Only one of those is the real thing. And in one case, it’s holding strong. In Seattle, the local organizing committee long ago designated the 26 June game slated for Lumen Field as the “Pride Match” to mark the city’s LGBTQ+ pride weekend celebration. Continue reading...
