I was 5, we got to be there for the double, and when the stadium erupted I hid behind my mom and cried. I hated it, and I loved it.

I am eternally, intrinsically broken because of them, and I love the Mariners.

We went to a lot of games somehow when I was a kid. Always the 300 level, and I hated going to games. We had to walk all the way to the top of the Kingdome, I was a little kid, there were too many people, but I loved the Mariners, so I loved going, too.

We managed to go to game 5 in 1995.

I have loved the Mariners for longer than I have loved some family members.

My mom probably taught me to love the Mariners before I learned to crawl. If it’s possible, I probably came out loving the Mariners because of my mom.

My love of so many things is ultimately born of that particular love.
