I saw this after yesterday's show and it seemed very apt in relation to the first hour's topic...

Jesse Watters tried to make a protester he dubbed "Antifa Kermit" look menacing. I added the words of Secretary of Homeland Security describing Antifa along with some footage of Antifa protesters from an ABC affiliate Local 10 News. The music is royalty free.🎶🪩💃🕺

Deep alignment between the EU and U.K. could close this hole and deliver GDP growth for both sides. This is worth listening to. Tell him he was right then and to do the right thing now 🎧👇

Starmer is well aware of what needs to be done. Here is what he said when voting for Johnson's UK-EU deal.

Services "a gaping hole", "lack of ambition", "Imperfect", "thin", "a basis to build on".

Just wondering if this could be a route to "deep alignment" as well as making some 💩 stick to Farage, Badenoch etc ? bsky.app/profile/pete...

I can see why Reform would oppose measures to prevent money laundering. Maybe banks should check money going *into* bank accounts - particularly when it's Russian money going into Reform politicians' bank accounts...

Nigel Farage wasn’t telling the truth on Laura Kuenssberg

Reform claim they were obstructed. There’s only one problem: they never made any inquiries.

It’s not just Guardian liberals noticing that, it’s the Times too. Farmers are on board because theyre losing crops at a historic rates due to flooding. We can fix it together, whilst also solving the root causes making flooding worse. Climate, biodiversity, and ag together. bsky.app/profile/phil...

Last week I was at the Plaid Cymru conference.

Based on the current polls, they are the party most likely to lead the Welsh Government after May's election.

This would mean a monumental change to Welsh politics. You can read my analysis here:

This deserves more attention than it has received.

Gove: "we were too anxious as a government to secure those deals in order to show that Brexit was working".

Exactly as so many of us warned at the time, and as the government denied at the time.

I'm only half-joking when I say that maybe this is the way to tackle older Faragist men: Get a smart attractive younger woman to listen to them and then charmingly point out why they're wrong.

Thanks to @reecedinsdale.bsky.social for bringing this to so many people's attention. Including mine!👍

My late mum & dad were fans of Nana's - back in the 70s, I can barely remember them playing anyone else's music apart from Cleo Laine, James Last and Mrs Mills on party nights! Eclectic tastes!

I have no issue with people marking the centenary of the birth of someone no longer alive. But wishing THEM Happy Birthday is weird by any measure.

On which note, Happy Birthday to the very much alive Nana Mouskouri!

Seems @Nigel_Farage is trying damage limitation on the Reform Russian Bribes scandal.

He’s known Nathan Gill for 20 years, and claims he knew nothing.

No one believes you, Nigel.

Keep the story moving. Questions must be answered.

This’d be a canny move: raise the threshold at which inheritance tax applies to farmland from £1m to £5m (£10m for couples), ensuring it applies only to huge estates - but then remove the proposed discount (so IHT at 40%, not 20%)

Would call the big landowners’ bluff
