It was a pleasure to attend my first Labour Party Regional Conference in Portsmouth this weekend.

I heard from activists across our movement on how to keep delivering, and even had the opportunity to speak on an issue close to my heart.

With Haigh's departure from the cabinet, for the first time in our political history, the cabinet is 100% state educated. Quite the moment.

A recent CPS report found that over half of 18-24 year old men think that if a man has been drinking or taking drugs, he is not responsible if he rapes someone.

That is horrifying.

Tackling violence against women & girls can’t happen without dealing with the online radicalisation of young men.

This Labour government will ensure every primary school child can start the school day ready to learn.

Labour are rolling out free breakfast clubs for every primary school pupil across the country.

Spiking will be made a criminal offence.

The Labour government was elected to take back our streets, central to this mission is making sure women and girls can feel safe at night.

Perpetrators of spiking will feel the full force of the law.

It was great to attend the launch of Sussex Young Labour on Thursday with @chriswardmp.bsky.social. This will be a huge help to mobilising young people across the counties, as well as ensuring young people‘s voices are heard.

Had a great time at the US Politics Today conference at the @britishlibrary.bsky.social yesterday.

Gutted to hear that former Deputy PM John Prescott has sadly passed away. He was instrumental to the last Labour government, and an inspiration to young people like myself.

As a German speaker, it's particularly great to see but learning any 2nd language is hugely beneficial for our young people.
