You know, around the start of the pandemic, I watched "Spock's Brain" for the first time in decades and I enjoyed it. While there were some odd scenes towards the end, overall, it wasn't as bad as its reputation.

I’m a big fan. The novella is almost a more natural length for stories that feel like tv episodes than the full-length novels. I’m about twenty novellas in so far. Eventually I might work through the whole series. #TrekBookClub

This was my first time reading them and they were fun! I would read more. There is enough of a story there for a full novel, but they solve the conflict pretty quickly. #TrekBookClub #STSCEColdFusion

I always thought it was interesting we never saw the "rogue computer" in the modern Trek shows. I think because in the newer era we as a society didn't fear the computer, whereas in the '60's there was concern about computers taking over. #TrekBookClub #STSCECaveatEmptor

The Mosada analogy was, to be honest, a bit odd and forced, but the solution was creative given the situation. It was a non-violent way to stop the problem, which is always good. #TrekBookClub

LOL - There was a period of time a few years ago when I went to a bunch of soccer games. That $40 parking fee almost costs as much as the actual ticket. The $8 soda, $10 cheese fries and $12 hotdogs were pretty high too!

Another really delightful line in this book. Validated parking does seem right in line with Ferengi modus operandi. Every time I pay $40 for stadium parking or $12 for a ballpark hotdog, I think of the Ferengi. I’m a “captive customer” 😜 #TrekBookClub #STSCEColdFusion
