One of my favorite video game quotes ever is from Monster Rancher. Your farmhand would comment on the way a newly summoned CD monster looked and one of her lines is:

when i was a kid i didn't understand how this worked and i thought every CD that was manufactured had to have a monster put onto it. like they'd go up to ringo starr or whatever and ask him what monster he wants and he'd say "ouhh this DEfinitely has a "Battle Rocks" quality to it! peace and love.!"

Even though I was looking forward to this game and I'm in the game, I am not playing Yooka-Replaylee just yet because I just so happen to be near the end of Dredge.

Some artist's insights for this drawing:
* I refought Capital B on my PS5 and then recorded the footage and used it to figure out his and Yooka-Laylee's proportions.

* I listened to "A CYBER'S WORLD?" on a loop while coloring this and I think that influenced the color palette a little.
